Peer Review Process

Login/submit

After logging into the journal website, the author submits the article. A manuscript should not be submitted to another journal simultaneously during the evaluation process.

Initial Check

The manuscript is first reviewed by experts according to the following process:

1- we conduct an initial screening and check the reference style. The reference style of IJWRWR is based on IEEE format. There is no page limit in IJWR, however, we encourage articles to be between 8 and 12 pages.

2 - IJWR policy for reviewing papers is double-blind reviewing. Therefore, you have to delete the author's name and affiliation from the manuscript and then upload it in .doc(x) format.

3 - Using 4 to 8 keywords is mandatory.

4- Introduce two referees with a minimum h- index of 5 in the Recommended Reviewers Box on the website. The authors should not have studied at the same institution as the authors of the article.

5 - Recheck your manuscript for plagiarism. A paper will be rejected if the overall similarity to other papers exceeds 30%.

Plagiarism/Scope Checking

In accordance with the publication's policy, the papers will also be checked for plagiarism using iThenticate. A paper that has an overall similarity of more than 30 percent will be rejected.

The next step involves the editor evaluating the article's topic. Article topics must be related to the Journal's Scopes (Journal Topics and Scopes). Papers that are irrelevant will be rejected and will not be considered for review. All articles submitted by authors should be original research or review articles. This process takes one week.

Technical Evaluation and Review Process

After reviewing the article for content and technique, the editor selects two numbers of potential referees. Referees who have been selected are experts in the area of study and are faculty members at universities from all over the world. In some cases, the editor may choose to send the article to a referee suggested by the authors.

Therefore, the following steps are taken:

1. Appoint a referee in accordance with the article's specialized field

2 - Sending reminders to review articles

3. Verify the review evaluations

4-Sending the reviewers' comments to the authors

5-Review of article corrections

A manuscript that receives two acceptances will be sent to the next stage (editorial board). If they do not receive two acceptances, they will be circulated in the reviewing process. In the event an article is rejected by a reviewer or the authors do not submit corrections within a specified timeframe, it will be rejected. There is an average review time of 8-10 weeks. (Depending on the availability of expert reviewers).

Editorial Board Decision

Decisions of the editorial board members:

1-The article has been accepted for publication.

2-The article has been accepted with some corrections.

3-The article should be rejected as it is not acceptable.

It normally takes between a week and ten days to complete this process. At the end of this stage, authors receive a certificate of acceptance.

Accept/Proofreading

Upon acceptance, the authors are required to proofread their manuscript according to the journal article format. Grammar, references, and other aspects are rechecked. It is not acceptable to make changes to the content of the article. Experts and the editor-in-chief review the article in this section again and compare it to the original.

Galley Proof

The article is proofread by experts and its page layout is adjusted according to the format of the journal.
